East Brunswick Public Library Hosts “Just Say Yes To Nutrition”
The first workshop on Tuesday, October 13 at 2:00 pm explores the links between sugary drinks and chronic disease.

To help the community learn how to eat smarter, the East Brunswick Public Library hosts the three-part “Just Say Yes To Nutrition” series on online workshops.
Held online using Zoom, these programs feature nutrition educators from the Community Foodbank of New Jersey discussing tips on eating healthy. The programs are all held on Tuesdays at 2:00 pm.
The first workshop explores healthy beverages on Tuesday, October 13 at 2:00 pm. This workshop explores the links between sugary drinks and chronic disease, how to identify sugary drinks and ways to make healthier beverage choices.

The second workshop is on Tuesday, October 20 and covers portion topics. Attendees will learn
the benefits of practicing portion control, the usage of simple techniques to estimate portion controls and strategies to eat healthy and increase physical activity.

The final workshop is about meal planning and is on Tuesday, October 27 at 2:00 pm. The subject is meal planning, and it explains how to plan easy, healthy meals using low cost, readily available foods, how to identify healthy meal planning strategies and the benefits of planning meals and snacks.
