East Brunswick's Jax Has Made It To The American Idol Top Five

With her move into the Top Five, Jax will be part of the American Idol Live! tour, set to come to New Jersey this summer.

East Brunswick’s Jax has made it to the American Idol Top Five.

And that means she will be part of the American Idol Live! tour, set to kick off in Florida in July. The tour will come to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown in July, and the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank and Caesars in Atlantic City in August.

Wednesday was Arena Anthem Night on American Idol, and Jackie Cole “Jax” Miskanic, 18, sang “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet and Dido’s “White Flag,” according to MyCentralJersey.com.

Judge Harry Connick Jr. called her performance of White Flag “phenomenal,” MyCentralJersey.com reported.

After the show, Jax tweeted “I love my top 5 family. I wouldn’t have it any other way. The talent is unreal..And the love is like no other. ...Can’t wait to tour with them.”

And representatives of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank are also looking forward to her tour. The theater’s Twitter account posted this tweet: “Hey @Jax: It’s official. It’ll be a ‘Jersey homecoming at the @CountBasieThtr Aug. 2 w/ you and the @AmericanIdol Live Tour!”
