Swimming is more than fun and pleasure. It is a skill that could save your life. Drowning is the third leading cause of death and second leading cause among children in the United States, according to the National Safety Council. Two thirds of all drowning victims cannot swim. The YMCA urges that children begin lessons by the age of 4 and that all non swimmers take lessons.
