Program Explains Breast Cancer Statistics, Early Detection

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hackensack Meridian Health and East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) hold the online program “Breast Cancer: Statistics, Early Detection and Treatment Advances” on Wednesday, October 20 at noon.
The program is hosted by Renee Armour, M.D., FACS, Medical Director for Breast Surgery at JFK Medical Center. She will discuss prevention risk factors and treatment options for breast cancer.
Dr. Armour is a board-certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeon. She has received numerous awards and honors for surgery and clinical excellence, and is published in several medical journals. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the JFK Medical Center Cancer Committee.
