1. Get Moving with East Windsor's Community Walk & Talk (tapinto.net) — East Windsor residents can join a free Community Walk and Talk at Etra Lake Park on Saturday, Sept. 26, starting at 9 a.m., with a rain date of Oct. 3. Organized through the Mayors Wellness Campaign, the relaxed one-mile loop encourages all ages and abilities to get moving, meet neighbors, and support a stronger, healthier East Windsor community.
   

2. Manufacturing output down in August; investments by Reckitt, Hitachi (manufacturingdive.com) — East Windsor is gaining about 80 new jobs as Hovione opens a 31,000-square-foot facility on its local campus, doubling commercial spray-drying capacity and capping a $100 million U.S. investment cycle. The company also plans a much larger adjacent manufacturing building within five to ten years, while other manufacturers nationwide announce expansions, new plants, and layoffs.
   

3. Where to pick your own apples in N.J. this fall: A farm-by-farm guide. (nj.com subscription) — If you're in East Windsor, Hickory Corner Farm on Hickory Corner Road is offering pick-your-own Gala apples right now, despite widespread frost damage across New Jersey orchards. This statewide roundup explains which nearby farms still have apples, which are limiting picking days or varieties, and which popular spots have canceled apple picking but continue to offer pumpkins, hayrides, and other fall activities.
   

4. The Friday Brief for September 18, 2026: Companies Expand in US & Europe (contractpharma.com) — A pharmaceutical manufacturer has opened a new facility in East Windsor, doubling its U.S. spray-drying capacity as part of a broader wave of industry expansions in the U.S. and Europe. The weekly roundup also highlights new manufacturing sites, acquisitions, sustainability initiatives, and partnerships that could shape future drug development and supply chains.
