EDISON, NJ – The township is moving forward with plans to build a new $478,080 playground at its municipal complex to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The project will be located at 100 Municipal Blvd., the Council discussed during a work session held Monday. The playground will be designed as an all-inclusive, ADA-compliant space accessible to children and families of all abilities.

Two vendors were awarded contracts through a state-approved cooperative purchasing agreement. MRC, Inc. of Sea Girt will supply and install the playground equipment for $337,730, while Whirl Construction, Inc. of Port Monmouth will handle site preparation for $140,350.
