The bomb threat was emailed in and the building was evacuated on Wednesday, police told Patch.
EDISON, NJ - The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County was evacuated on Wednesday due to a bomb threat, Edison police told Patch.
JCC is located on Oak Tree Road. The bomb threat email was dated Tuesday, Deputy Chief Robert Dudash told Patch. However, the JCC said it did not receive the email on their system until around 1 p.m. Wednesday, after which they called authorities. Police responded promptly and evacuated the building while authorities investigated.
Four bomb-sniffing K-9s from New Jersey State Police, the Sheriff's Department and Edison Police were brought in, Dudash told Patch.
