Local Park In Edison To Be Closed Dec. 12 Onwards For Construction
The Thomas A. Edison Park, located near Middlesex College will be closed indefinitely beginning next week.
EDISON, NJ — The Thomas A. Edison Park, located adjacent to Middlesex College In Edison, will be closed from Dec. 12 onwards for construction work, Middlesex County officials said.
All fields, comfort stations, walking paths, parking lots, tennis courts, etc., will be inaccessible to the public. However, the Thomas A. Edison Park Model Airplane Field located in the back of the park will remain open to the public, the County said.
In November Middlesex County announced various improvement plans for Middlesex College in Edison.

These plans include building an open-air multipurpose community venue for concerts and events; a new community park; an athletic complex featuring 16 tennis courts and a cricket field; expansion of exterior spaces and more.

While Thomas A. Edison Park will be closed residents can still access the nearby Roosevelt Park, Warren Park in Woodbridge and at the 3.5-mile-long Middlesex Greenway stretching from Metuchen, through Edison, to Woodbridge.
