Edison's Fall Family Spectacular Returns Oct. 17 (patch.com) — Edison residents can look forward to the Fall Family Spectacular on Saturday, Oct. 17, featuring food vendors, live music, wrestling shows, a beer garden, and a car show along Amboy Avenue. Running from 1 to 9 p.m., the event is part of the township's America 250 celebrations and is designed to bring neighbors together while supporting local businesses.

Middlesex College Engineering Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Construction on Edison Campus (TAPinto.net) — Middlesex College students in Edison spent the summer working alongside engineers on a new sustainable microgrid and solar carport project right on their campus, gaining experience impossible to get in class. Their internship with DCO Energy included everything from concrete pours and crane lifts to project documentation and safety, directly improving the Edison campus while building real-world career skills.

Oprah-Backed Restaurant Chain Files For Bankruptcy, Abruptly Closes 12 Locations (dailyvoice.com) — A True Food Kitchen restaurant in Edison has abruptly closed after the Oprah-backed chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shut down 12 locations nationwide. Staff were told after Sunday's final service not to report for shifts, though they'll be paid for hours worked and keep benefits through October while some may transfer to other locations.
