3 Englewood Men Arrested On Drug Distribution Charges
One man agreed to sell $16,500 worth of marijuana to an undercover detective, authorities said.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – Three city men were arrested and drug distribution charges after one of them agreed to sell $16,500 worth of marijuana to an undercover detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, authorities announced Monday.
Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said that Daivon Manning, 22, distributed marijuana to an undercover detective from the prosecutor’s office Narcotic Task Force on three occasions.
Manning allegedly agreed April 4 to sell an undercover detective five pounds of marijuana for $16,500, Grewal said.

A search warrant was executed at Manning’s Belmont Street home and vehicle that day, authorities said. He was charged Thursday with possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, in a quantity of five pounds or more but less than 25 pounds, three counts of distributing marijuana, and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public housing facility, the acting prosecutor said.
The court-authorized search warrant revealed that no contraband items were found in Manning’s residence or vehicle, authorities said.

Two other Englewood men were charged as a result of the investigation.
Lloyd A. Pugh Jr. 31, and Omar Smith, 22, were each charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, more than five pounds but less than 25 pounds, Grewal said. Pugh alleged tried to distribute the marijuana to a detective.
The men were remanded to the Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail each, with no 10 percent option, Grewal said.
