ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Twenty-one people were arrested and charged, the result of an multi-agency initiative to reduce the number of shooting incidents in the city this year.

Operation Safe City targeted the rise in gun violence in Englewood. It was a collaborative effort involving members from the county prosecutor's office, sheriff's office personnel, and city police officers.

Tyrone Stephens, Corey McKay, and Jamal Robinson were all previously charged with attempted murder.

Stephens and Mckay were arrested for allegedly entering a multifamily home with three other people June 2; police previously said they targeted a specific apartment, authorities said.

The occupants were able to get a shotgun from Stephens and the four other people allegedly had shotguns in their possession during the raid, authorities said.
