Englewood Brothers Of 10-Year-Old Cancer Patient Raise $30K To Help Others

Max, 14, and Aidan Burgida, 12, raised the money in honor of their 10-year-old brother, Bennett.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Two city brothers have raised $30,000 for The Children's Cancer Institute in honor of their brother, who is battling cancer.

Max, 14, and Aidan Burgida, 12, raised the money in honor of their 10-year-old brother, Bennett. Bennett was diagnosed with Brukitt Lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer that originate in the immune system. The disease is treatable, however. More than 90 percent of children with Burkitt Lymphoma are cured.

Aidan began the fundraising effort online and Max helped spread the word using social media.
