Englewood Councilman Blasts Police Department For Towing Vehicle: Report
Councilman Charles Cobb demanded that his car be returned in a phone call.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — City Councilman Charles Cobb, whose car was towed from outside his house in December, has accused the Police Department of targeting him, a report by NorthJersey.com states.
Cobb, an at-large councilman, demanded police return his vehicle and said he would retaliate against the police towing contractor, Atlantic Towing and Recovery, a recording of the phone call reveals.
Cobb's car was towed after a license plate reader showed that its registration expired in January 2016, according to a police towing report, the article states.

Cobb wrote an ordinance that changed the requirements regarding its police towing contractors, including increasing towing fees.
