BREAKING: Marion has been an Englewood firefighter for 27 years.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Fire Chief Gerald Marion will retire Feb. 1.

Marion has been with the fire department for 27 years. He started out as a firefighter and moved up the ranks.

"His dedication and knowledge will be missed," City Manager Timothy Dacey said in a statement issued Thursday morning. "He will be most remembered for working with the different city departments to get the construction completed on the new Jack Drakeford Fire House."
