ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — A joint investigation by several law enforcement agencies has led to identity theft charges being filed against a Bronx, New York man who withdrew $9,000 from a man's bank account in the city, authorities said.
The Cresskill Police Department investigated a man who tried using a stolen identity from someone's bank account at a local Capital One Bank branch, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
The person fled the scene, but Cresskill detectives and Bergen County Sheriff's Office personnel got latent fingerprints from the bank and Michael M. Grayson was identified as a possible suspect as a result, Grewal said.
