Englewood Woman Aided Fugitive: Prosecutor

Jazmine Cole, 28, helped a fugitive, Jamar Travis, flee the state in November.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — A city woman is accused of helping a fugitive flee the state and escape law enforcement in connection with a seven-month long investigation of dozens of residential burglaries along Route 17.

Detectives from the Englewood Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information that Jazmine Cole, 28, helped Jamar Travis, a fugitive, flee the state to avoid being captured by law enforcement, said Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County prosecutor.

Cole reportedly provided Travis with "material support" in effort to escape.

Travis was arrested with Cole in New York by a task force of officers from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, FBI Newark office and Englewood, Saddle River and Paramus police departments, the prosecutor sad.

Cole was charged with hindering apprehension of another and obstructing the administration of the law.
