Man Shot Multiple Times In Englewood: Police

The local Crime Stoppers group is offering a $1,000 reward for information that significantly assists authorities with their investigation.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — A man was shot several times in the city early Sunday morning and police are looking for assistance with the investigation.

Police officers were handling a disturbance call at Bennett Road at 2:30 a.m. when they heard gunshots a short distance away, said Detective Capt. Timothy Torell. They found a 29-year-old man with two gunshot wounds at Englewood Avenue and Cottage Place. The man was rushed to a local hospital.

The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening, the captain said. He is expected to survive.

Detectives investigated and found a shooting scene on Brookway Avenue, which is just off of Englewood Avenue, Torell said. They found forensic and ballistic evidence there.
