Bergen Girls Reportedly Hid From Home Invaders In Closet
Police say a man was with at least 2 other people and may have been driving a black Dodge Magnum wagon with New York license plates.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police are looking for a home invasion suspect who was allegedly confronted by a 13-year-old girl Saturday.
Tenafly Police said the man was confronted by a resident during the home invasion and fled the scene.
Jennifer Yanowitz said she left briefly Saturday morning and left her 11- and 13-year-old daughters sleeping, WNYC reported. The older daughter found two men with baseball bats and a crow bar rummaging through her parents' things in the master bedroom, according to the report.

The teenage girl grabbed her 11-year-old sister, and together hid in the closet, waiting for police.
No injuries were reported. A New Jersey State Police sketch artist created a drawing of one of the alleged suspects, which Tenafly police subsequently released.
