Police Revive Boy Found In Overpeck Creek, Report Says

The boy was found using technology developed by a company that helps locate missing people with cognitive disorders.

A boy who had been reported missing was found and revived by police officers in Overpeck Park Friday afternoon.

Project Lifesaver, an organization that develops tracking technology to aid in the search and rescue of individuals with cognitive disorders, including autism, helped locate the boy, The Record reported.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Office contacted the organization after receiving an emergency call about a missing boy at about 5 p.m. Friday, sheriff's office spokesman Anthony Cureton said in the report.

Authorities found the boy in Overpeck Creek and revived him, the report stated. The boy was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
