Arrest Made In Saddle Brook 7-Eleven Robbery: Prosecutor
Adelbert W. Makle, 39, allegedly brandished a large knife and demanded a store employee give him money.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — A Paterson man was arrested and charged Friday with robbing the 7-Eleven convenience store in May after a two-month investigation, authorities said.
Adelbert W. Makle, 39, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Monday.
At 3:45 a.m. May 10, an armed robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven store on Market Street, authorities said.

A man entered the store and asked an employee with help finding something in the store; as the employee walked over to help, Makle produced a "large knife" and demanded money, Grewal said.
Both that employee and another escaped from the store while Makle allegedly tried to open the cash register before he fled the store, Grewal said.

Authorities discovered additional evidence and the investigation led to Makle as the person allegedly responsible for the robbery, the prosecutor said.
Makle was located and arrested Friday. He is currently in the Bergen County Jail, authorities said. The investigation is continuing.
