PARAMUS, N.J. - Authorities are asking for help identifying the driver in a hit-and-run accident that left a woman seriously injured.
Kimberly A. Delaney, 36, was struck by a vehicle on Route 17 North shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal. Delaney was taken and admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center.
Members of the prosecutor's office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and the Paramus Police Department said that a minivan stopped briefly after hitting Delaney and then left the scene, heading northbound, authorities said. The vehicle is believed to be a 2010-2013 grey Toyota Sienna; it may have sustained damage to the front passenger bumper and passenger side mirror, Grewal said.
