River Edge's Dinallo's Restaurant is like the "Italian Cheers"
Dinallo’s Restaurant, Bar and Catering owned by Robert Dinallo is located at 259 Johnson Avenue in River Edge. Can you say Happy Hour? Make new friends or keep the old on Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., with discounted drinks. Back by popular demand, their famous sangria is sold by the glass ($7) or by the pitcher ($25).
Dance the night away on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with DJ Jack
from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. or join them on a Thursday night and hear the sounds of entertainers like Jerry Tolve or Hunter Hayes both fabulous.
Visit on a Sunday and enjoy Old World Italian. Pork bracciole, pork ribs, meatballs and sausage in gravy. Though some Italians may debate whether it is called gravy or sauce, I am told, “It’s just like grandmas.”
Open for lunch and dinner, Dinallo’s has a wide variety of pasta, chicken, veal, beef and fresh fish, plus an array of specials. The grilled lemon sole was fantastic over a crisp, fresh corn salad. The pappardelle pasta with shrimp was a wonderful delight.
Having a party? Their sample buffet or sit down menus have platters of hot and cold appetizers. Some choices are fried calamari, baked clams, mozzarella, roasted peppers and prosciutto di parma as well as a large house salad for your guests.
You can also choose several entrees from their extensive list to meet your needs. Chef Diego will cook to order for those on special or vegan diets. Coffee, tea and soda are included as well as homemade desserts. Liquor arrangements can also be made to suit your gathering.
Make your reservations early and celebrate Easter Sunday, April 24, at Dinallo’s, kids menu available.
Join them on May 22, or their “Just Because Party” to kick off summer including a complementary buffet, entertainment from DJ Jack and discounted half priced drinks from 2 to 6 p.m.
Who says you have to go to Boston, when you can go to Dinallo’s, “The Italian Cheers,” where everyone knows your name.
Until next time, mangiare bene!
