Drug Dealer Arrested Near Fair Lawn High School: Police
Ruben Martinez Jr., 18, of Pompton Lakes, was charged with possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A drug dealer was arrested near Fair Lawn High School following a traffic stop Thursday afternoon where police found 20 bags of marijuana inside the vehicle, authorities said.
Officer Nicholas Snyder stopped a vehicle at 12th and Charles streets, a block away from the high school, and arrested the passenger Ruben Martinez Jr., 18, of Pompton Lakes, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
Police found marijuana in 20 plastic baggies stored inside a glass mason jar inside a backpack in the vehicle, Metzler said.

Martinez was being held at Fair Lawn Police Headquarters, the sergeant said. He will be charged with possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute, Metzler said.
Martinez will be released after he is processed and served the charges, Metzler said.
