Erratic Driving Leads To DWI Charge In Fair Lawn
Another man was charged after he gave drugs to a police officer during a motor vehicle stop, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Officer Anthony Ferreira responded to Route 208 North at Maple Avenue on a report of an erratic driver, police said.
John Wallace, 38, of Wyckoff, was arrested after he failed a field sobriety test, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a single lane, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, having an opening container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain a single lane

- A Paterson man, Aaron Williams, 50, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after police found evidence of drug use inside a pack of cigarettes, police said. He was released after being charged.
- Kevin Somers, 30, of Hewitt, was charged after Lt. James Corcoran initiated a motor vehicle stop on Bergen Avenue Friday night, police said. Somers handed drugs over to Corcoran and more drugs were found inside his pants after he was transported to police headquarters, police said. Somers charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released, police said.
- Officer John Rovetto stopped a driver, Juan Vasquez, 36, of Garnerville, New York, on Route 208 and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia after evidence of drug use was found inside the vehicle, police said. He was also charged with failure to wear a seatbelt, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was released after being charged.
