Fair Lawn Boy Had Synthetic Marijuana In Vehicle: Police
Several Fair Lawn residents were charged with possession last week.

- Officer Eric Eleshewich and Sgt. Anthony Ferreira initiated a motor vehicle stop on First Street at Berdan Avenue and arrested the operator, a 17-year-old boy from Fair Lawn, after synthetic marijuana was located inside the vehicle, police said. The juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, unlicensed drive, and reckless driving, then was released to a parent. Additional charges will be filed with family court in Hackensack.
- Officer Eric Eleshewich, while patrolling the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts, 22-20 Fair Lawn Avenue, arrested Danylo Korostylov, 19, of Fair Lawn, after he was observed throwing a marijuana cigarette under a parked vehicle, police said. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
- Lt. James Corcoran initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 20 at Fifth Avenue in Paterson and arrested the operator, Todd Malsch, age 52 of Wayne, after evidence of drugs were found inside the vehicle, police said. He was released after being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.
- Officers Juan Hinojosa and Robert Manning initiated a motor vehicle stop on Saddle River Road at Union Street and arrested the operator, Daniel Falkenheim, 22, of Fair Lawn, after he handed over marijuana from his vehicle, police said. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.
- Several police officers responded to CVS at 18-35 River Road, on a report of a shoplifting and arrested Ricardo Williamson, age 58 of Paterson, near the exit of the business with $132.45 in unpaid items in bags that he was attempting to leave with, police said. Williamson was released after being charged with shoplifting and defiant trespassing, police said.
- Officer John Kelly initiated a motor vehicle stop on Fair Lawn Avenue at Chandler Drive and arrested Sean Gordon, age 30 of Lodi, after an arrest warrant was discovered out of Bloomfield for $500, police said. Gordon was charged with having operated with a suspended license, then released after bail was posted, police said.
- Officer Chris O’Shaughnessy initiated a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue at Wagaraw Road and arrested the operator, Kevin Madrigal, age 19 of Paterson, after evidence of marijuana distribution was located inside the vehicle, police said. He was released after being charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlicensed driver, unregistered vehicle, and fictitious license plates on a vehicle, police said.
