Fair Lawn Police Arrest Woman With Drugs Taped To Her Body

Melissa Rivera, 26, of East Rutherford, was arrested Friday after police found her walking on 2nd Street, police said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Police arrested a woman found with drugs taped to her body after she was found walking on 2nd Street Friday, police said.

Officer Tiller Uriarte approached a "suspicious female," Melissa Rivera, 26, of East Rutherford, shortly before 11 a.m. and arrested her after she was found with evidence of drug use, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.

Additional drugs were found taped to her body and she had arrest warrants out of Haledon and Rochelle Park, Metzler said.

Rivera was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. She was then handed over to Haledon Police.
