Fair Lawn Police Make Several Drug-Related Arrests Last Week

Ridgewood man charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance during a traffic stop, police said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. - Police made several drug- and warrant-related arrests this week.

  • Jerel Stone, 47, of Glen Rock, was arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday night after police discovered arrest warrants out in his name from Montclair, Hackensack, and Fort Lee totaling more than $1,350, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle on a suspended license.
  • Alexander Godelman, 53, of Fair Lawn, was arrested following a car crash at Fair Lawn Avenue and Plaza Road Friday morning, police said. Godelman had a warrant out for his arrest in Ridgewood for $275. He was charged with careless driving, operating with a suspended license, and failure to exhibit a registration card.
  • A Glen Rock man, Osama Mejid, 22, was arrested after Officer Nicholas Snyder approach a suspicious vehicle in Memorial Park Friday afternoon, police said. Mejid had a warrant out for his arrest in New Brunswick for $700.
  • A Ridgewood man, Danill Chukin, 22, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 East early Saturday morning, police said. Chukin was arrested after police found evidence of marijuana use in the vehicle, authorities said. Chukin was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving.
  • Kawan Henderson, 22, of Paterson, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop on Broadway Saturday night, police said.
