Fair Lawn Teen Charged With Aggravated Assault Following 'Physical Altercation'

A Fair Lawn teenager was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly threw a glass bottle at a man Saturday, police said.
Police responded to River Road after a man called for help after he was allegedly assaulted, authorities said.
The man had a glass bottle thrown at him while he walked away from a “physical altercation” on Harrison Drive, which resulted in a head injury, police reported.

Police found Jacob Finver, 18 of Fair Lawn, on Harrison Drive and charged him with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, police said.
The victim was taken to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for evaluation.
