Fair Lawn Woman, 19, Charged With Burglary And Attempted Theft

Police say Angelique Insley tried to steal a car on 4th Street Thursday.

FAIR LAWN, NJ - A borough woman was charged with burglary and attempted theft after police said she tried to steal a vehicle on 4th Street Thursday afternoon.

Angelique Insley, 19, was charged after police said the owner of a 2015 Nissan Rogue reported that Insley entered the vehicle and attempted to take it, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

Insley allegedly left her shoes at the scene as she fled, said Sgt. Metzler.

Officer Nicholas Snyder found Insley on 6th Street and arrested her, Sgt. Metzler said.
