Fair Lawn Woman Charged With Marijuana Possession

Danielle Sproviero, 22, admitted to having marijuana in her pocketbook, police said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A borough woman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after police found her with marijuana in a Rite Aid parking lot Wednesday, police said.

Officers Peter Morano and Eric Lind saw a vehicle parked in the fire zone in front of the Rite Aid on South Washington Avenue in Bergenfield and smelled marijuana coming from inside it, Bergenfield police said in a news release.

The driver, Danielle Sproviero, 22, admitted to having marijuana in her pocketbook, which police later found, authorities said.

Sproviero was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and issued summonses for parking in a fire zone and for having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.

Sproviero was released and ordered to appear in Bergenfield Municipal Court Aug. 3, police said.
