Farmer's Market Done For the Year

The Farmer's Market, which was scheduled to run until Oct. 19, has had to close early due to the summer's extreme weather

The following is a letter from Fair Lawn Farmer's Market manager Jane Spindel:

Due to extreme weather conditions, Wednesday, Sept. 28 was the last day of the season for the .

Silver Lake Farm's last crop failed from the flooding of their fields and the unusual weather patterns that we all have been experiencing.

In addition, the rest of the vendors felt it was not in their best interest to continue without the farmer. 

The public can still buy from the vendors either directly or from the other local farmers markets that are still running.
