"It just makes sense" --- Fair Lawn Graduate Team Raises Funds for Canine Companions for Independence

Your Dog wants to go to DogFest! DogFest Walk 'n Roll Benefiting Canine Companions for Independence. Oct. 11th, Roosevelt Park, Edison, NJ

When asked why she decided to get involved with DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, Corinne Abbatemarco of Fair Lawn said, “It just made sense to see what I could do.” Having received her facility dog Colonel, free of charge, Corrine is well aware of Canine Companions’ fundraising needs. When Canine Companions launched its national signature event, DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, the Fair Lawn native was one of the first to sign up and create a fundraising team.

With a goal of $500, Corinne is reaching out to friends and family to ask them to support the organization that partnered her with Colonel. Corrine is a physical therapist at Kessler Rehabilitation Institute in West Orange, helping accident and stroke victims recover from their injuries. Colonel plays an integral part of her therapy program.

You too can help make DogFest Walk ‘n Roll New Jersey a success by participating in this event on Oct. 11th at Roosevelt Park in Edison. Create a fundraising page and share the story of you and your exceptional Canine Companions assistance dog. There’s even a spot for a picture of the two of you. Then share your page with your family and friends…
