Man Charged For Bilking Fair Lawn Resident Out Of Home Repair Deposit: Police
Richard Farrant, 54, was charged with theft by deception and wrongful impersonation.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A South Jersey man was charged with theft after he defrauded a resident out of money that was supposed to help pay for a home repair, police said.
Richard Farrant, 54, of Point Pleasant Beach, was also charged with wrongful impersonation, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
Police took a report from a South Broadway resident who paid Farrant for a home repair in December 2015 that was never done, Metzler said.

Detective Paul Donohue took over the investigation and filed charged Farrant last week, Metzler said.
Farrant's bail was set at $2,500. The charges were served to him at the Ocean County Jail where he is currently being held on other charges, police said.
