Man Dead In Apparent Suicide Found Outside Fair Lawn Police HQ: Authorities
54-year-old Fair Lawn man was found slumped in a car in the parking lot, police said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Police discovered a man who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside of headquarters Tuesday afternoon, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
Officer Stephen Buskiewicz was parking his police vehicle in the station lot at 1 p.m. when he saw a 2003 Chevrolet Impala parked next to him with the driver slumped to the side, Metzler said.
Police determined that the driver, a 54-year-old Fair Lawn man, died from a single gunshot wound to the head, Metzler said. The handgun was resting on the man's lap, police said.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Investigations and an investigator from the county medical examiner's office responded to the scene.
