Maternity Ward Patient From Fair Lawn Charged With Heroin Possession -- Twice: Police

Jessica Gerianne, 23, was arrested Friday and Sunday after heroin and syringe was found on her both times, police said.

A patient in the Valley Hospital maternity ward from Fair Lawn was arrested twice after authorities found heroin in her possession, Ridgewood Police said.

Jessica Gerianne, 23, was arrested at the hospital Friday after authorities found a syringe allegedly containing heroin in her possession while a patient in the maternity ward, police said. She was issued a summons.

Gerianne was also arrested Sunday while a patient in the maternity ward after authorities found heroin and a syringe in her possession, police said.

She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a syringe, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and possession of prescription drugs, police said. She was released pending an appearance in Ridgewood Municipal Court.
