Radburn Players Present Winning Play This Weekend
Fair Lawn's Radburn Players present a staged reading of the 2014 Original Works Competition winner on Saturday.

The Radburn Players will present a staged reading of the 2014 Original Works Competition winner, Testa Dura at 8pm on Saturday October 18 at the Radburn Association Grange Hall, 29-20 Fair Lawn Avenue in Fair Lawn. This evening of quality entertainment is open to the public at no charge, and also includes complementary beverages and snacks.
Written by Marian Calabro and directed by Erica Kresch, the play follows Catherine, who after being hit in the head by a falling tree branch, ponders her life. She revisits the past, encounters the present, but most importantly, considers the future. She could have easily died in the accident. So...why didn’t she? God obviously saved her for something. Now she just has to figure out what that something is.
Calabro is the author of 17 nonfiction history books, including the award-winning Perilous Journey of the Donner Party (Houghton Mifflin). In that connection she has appeared on The History Channel and The Travel Channels Mysteries at the Museum. As a creative writer, she is a published poet and an aspiring playwright whose drama The Fake Book premiered in the 2013 Venus Theater Festival at Cabrini Rep in Manhattan. Marian leads creative writing workshops at the Adult School of Montclair and privately.
