Saddle Brook Man Found With Crack Cocaine In State Park Charged With Drug Possession: Police

Scott Hansen, 25, was charged after police conducted a welfare check in Ramapo State Park, authorities said.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — A borough man was charged with drug possession after Oakland police received a report of someone possibly using drugs in Ramapo State Park earlier this month, authorities said.

Officer Frank Fiore conducted a welfare check on the man, later identified as Scott Hansen, 25, who was found on Skyline Drive Oct. 14, said Officer Christian Eldridge.

Fiore found Hansen in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, Eldridge said. A K-9 unit from the New Jersey State Park Police also found a controlled dangerous substance in Hansen's vehicle, police said.

Hansen was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Eldridge said. Hanse was processed and later released on his own recognizance, police said.
