Someone was caught not paying a Holland Tunnel toll while driving a van registered to Luz A. Waldsterin, 38, police said.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — A township woman was arrested and charged Tuesday after police discovered she owned nearly $8,000 in unpaid tolls and fees, Port Authority Police said.

Port Authority Police saw a yellow 2007 GMC box truck pass through the Holland Tunnel toll plaza in Jersey City Tuesday with the driver not paying the required toll, said Joseph Pentangelo, a Port Authority Police spokesman. The truck, which was impounded, did not have an E-Z Pass transponder and the driver was issued a summons, police said.

The truck is registered to a business and the driver was delivering mail when police stopped him, Pentangelo said. The registration was suspended.
