Spencer Savings Bank Hosts 8th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, now through Nov. 19th!
Spencer Savings Bank invites the community to join their eighth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, running now through November 19th.
Spencer Savings Bank, a community bank headquartered in Elmwood Park, invites the community to join their eighth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Running now through Wednesday, November 19, the drive will support the Center for Food Action in Saddle Brook. All area residents are welcome to drop off donations of non-perishable food items at one of the bank’s branch locations. Center for Food Action provides emergency food packages, rental and utility assistance, counseling, advocacy and other essential services to those in need living in northern New Jersey.
“For those in need, something as simple as a hot meal can be a turning point.” said Janel Bazih, AVP & Marketing Manager of Spencer Savings Bank. “We have seen time and again the impact that charitable work can make at the individual and community level, the bank is proud to once again support the Center for Food Action. With tireless commitment, they are making a real difference in the lives of northern New Jersey residents.”
Drop-off bins for the Thanksgiving Food Drive have been placed at each of the bank’s branch locations,
as well as at its headquarters in Elmwood Park.

According to The Center for Food Action, they distributed 70,195 Emergency & Holiday Food Packages in 2013. Thanksgiving food packages were distributed to 3,435 households which provided a meal for 11,679 people. Join Spencer in the fight against hunger and make a difference this holiday season.
