Victor Bonachea, of Elmwood Park, was inducted into the Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda National Honor Society for Graduate and Professional Students at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on Nov.20, 2014. Sotirios Ziavras, Ph.D., Associate Provost for Graduate Studies at NJIT, was the keynote speaker at the induction ceremony and dinner.
Bonachea is pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering Management at NJIT’s Newark College of Engineering.
Alpha Epsilon Lambda was founded in 1990 with the specific objective of recognizing the academic and leadership accomplishments of graduate and professional school students. The criteria for selection into the Sigma Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda at NJIT include academic excellence; leadership activities (academic, professional, or community); exemplary character; and completion of at least two-thirds of the credits toward an NJIT master’s or doctoral degree.
