The cat climbed out of a kitchen window onto a roof and fell into a 3.5-inch wide space between a nail salon and liquor store on Park Avenue late Monday night, NJ.com reported.

Police tried for two hours to get the cat, named Luna, out using a snare, but could only free her head, the rest of her body was still stuck, the report said.

The Rutherford Fire Department had to break through 18 inches of brick wall to reach the cat. They grabbed Luna, cut the snare, and returned Luna to her family at about 2 a.m., according to the report.
