WEATHER ALERT: 'Drenching' Rain, Strong Winds To Hit Fair Lawn Area

“Drenching” rain is expected is expected to hit the region Thursday, slamming the area especially hard when people drive home from work, or go home from school, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service says the probability of rain on Thursday is 100 percent after 11 a.m. A Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for most of the state, and wind gusts could get as high as 25 to 35 mph.

The rain could be heavy at times, with a high near 66 degrees. New precipitation amounts will be between a quarter and half of an inch, according to the NWS.

On Thursday night, there will be more showers, mainly before 1 a.m. The rain could be heavy at times, with a low around 49 degrees.

Southeast winds will be 15 to 17 mph after midnight, and the chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.
