Flemington's Elevate Dance Academy Dominates Nationals in Their 1st Year Open, July 10 Grand Re-Opening

FLEMINGTON, NJ — Local dancers are bringing major heat—and massive trophies—back to Hunterdon County. Elevate Dance Academy, located at 59 Reading Road in Flemington, recently shattered expectations at the StarStruck Nationals, proving that elite technical training builds true champions.

In a sport where technical precision separates the good from the great, Elevate Dance Academy took home the coveted Excellency in Technique Award. This prestigious honor recognizes the studio's dedication to learning technique—the number-one requirement for elite dancing.

Title Wins

The academy’s soloists dominated the advanced categories, securing highly competitive title wins. Title scores were calculated through a grueling combination of a solo performance, an on-stage fashion walk, and judged masterclasses across contemporary, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop.

• Alessia Carlucci (14): Crowned Teen Miss StarStruck (Advanced Category) and awarded a contemporary scholarship.
• Lucas Guerrero (13): Crowned Teen Mr. StarStruck (Advanced Category) and awarded an elite ballet scholarship.
• Grace DeLaura (12): Crowned Junior Miss StarStruck (Advanced Category) and awarded a specialty scholarship for excellence in technique.
• Julia Ayala (14): Earned Runner-Up for Teen Miss StarStruck (Advanced Category).

Backed by their technical training, more than half of Elevate’s group dances were selected to return for the Clash of the Stars final battle. Lucas Guerrero and Grace DeLaura captured The Supremacy Cup for the Highest Scoring Advanced Duo in the entire competition. The studio took home a second Supremacy Cup for the Highest Scoring Advanced Junior Large Group with their performance, "Stand By Me” danced by Sofia Faila, Gia Moleta, Abriana Carlucci, Emily Squashic, Haylee Matos, Lucas Guerrero, Grace DeLaura, Avery DeTorres, Charlotte Sherman and Amelia Rodriguez.

Celebrate at the Grand Re-Opening: July 10

To celebrate these historic wins and show the community what the studio is all about, Elevate Dance Academy is hosting a Grand Re-Opening on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at their 59 Reading Road location.

The event is entirely open to the public and features a packed schedule of free dance classes for all ages. Outside, families can enjoy an array of interactive stations, including a DIY Bling Bar, custom Trucker Hat Making, L&G Scoop-a-Slime Bar, Face Painting, On-site photography and more.

Dancing for a Cause

Beyond elite training, Elevate is dedicated to giving back to Hunterdon County. Throughout the summer, the academy hosts high-energy, youth-focused blacklight dance parties for kids and teens, with proceeds directly benefiting SAFE in Hunterdon, a local organization supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
