Former Congressman Leonard Lance was recognized for his support and advocacy for libraries throughout his years of public service by the American Library Association, as the North Branch of the Hunterdon County Library celebrated its 20th anniversary at its current Clinton location, on Saturday, July 20th.
Hunterdon County Freeholder Board Director Suzanne Lagay and Freeholders Susan J. Soloway and Shaun C. Van Doren joined Congressman Lance in the celebration, which also recognized the 40th year of the County Library Branch being available to the public in Clinton.
Freeholder Lagay, who serves as the Board’s liaison to the Library Commission, congratulated the Commission and its staff on the momentous occasion, stating, “The Freeholders and the Library Commission have made a significant commitment to making library services available to the public, here in Clinton, at the South County Library in East Amwell, and at the main Library at the County’s Route 12 complex in Raritan.
