• Flemington Council To Consider $20,000 Grant For Public Health Planning (patch.com) — Flemington residents could soon see public health play a bigger role in local planning as Borough Council weighs accepting a $20,000 Plan4HealthNJ grant. The proposal would fund a new Public Health and Planning Team to examine housing, transportation, environment and food access, with residents able to attend and comment at Monday night's council meeting in person or via Zoom.
   

• Multi-Unit Dave's Hot Chicken Franchisee Declares Bankruptcy (qsrmagazine.com) — A Dave's Hot Chicken franchise group that operates multiple locations, including one in Flemington, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but says it plans to keep restaurants open while it restructures. The company blames a financing dispute with its lender, insists it's current on franchise payments, and is using new insider funding to stay afloat during the case.
