• Serious Head-On Collision in Mamakating (shawangunkjournal.com) — A Flemington resident, 36-year-old Norbert Rakoczy, was injured but is in stable condition after his Honda was hit head-on by another vehicle on Route 209 in Mamakating, New York. State Police say the other driver and a passenger were more seriously hurt, and investigators are asking anyone who saw the August 24 crash to contact their Wurtsboro office. 
• Sen. Cory Booker Stops at Franklin Food Bank During 21-County New Jersey Tour (tapinto.net) — Flemington residents may be interested to know that Flemington Food Pantry leaders joined U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and major New Jersey food banks in Franklin to discuss rising food insecurity and recent SNAP cuts. The roundtable highlighted growing demand on local pantries, the large number of residents who rely on food assistance, and ongoing efforts to secure more federal support and expand supportive services.
