Puppies, Pilates and a Purpose: Flemington Wellness Event to Benefit Animal Rescue
Participants can enjoy a fun filled Pilates class while helping support efforts to rescue and rehome animals.
FLEMINGTON, N.J. — A new local wellness event is bringing together things loved by residents: Pilates and puppies!
Elevate Dance Academy in Flemington will start hosting Puppy Pilates in September, an interactive fitness and community event designed to give participants a chance to exercise, unwind and spend time with adoptable puppies while supporting a local animal rescue.
The event combines a Pilates class with the opportunity to interact with puppies from Animal Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding homes for animals in need.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Animal Alliance, giving participants an opportunity to support the organization while enjoying a unique wellness experience.
Unlike a traditional Pilates class, Puppy Pilates is designed to be as much about the experience as the workout. Participants can expect a fun atmosphere with plenty of puppy interaction, making the event appealing to both fitness enthusiasts and animal lovers.

Organizers say the event is also intended to highlight the importance of animal adoption and give community members the opportunity to meet some of the dogs currently looking for their forever homes.
The event is open to all members of the community regardless of age. Participants do not need to be current Elevate Dance Academy students to attend.
With the popularity of wellness events and growing interest in animal adoption, organizers hope Puppy Pilates will become a recurring community event in Hunterdon County.
