Unity Bank Sponsors Family Promise’s Annual Box City Fundraiser
Unity Bank is the title sponsor of Family Promise of Hunterdon County's Annual Box City fundraiser for 7th consecutive year
For the seventh consecutive year, Unity Bank is the title sponsor of Family Promise of Hunterdon County’s Annual Box City fundraiser to help the homeless. The bank recently presented Family Promise with a $3,000 donation.
“Unity Bank is proud to have been the title sponsor of the Box City event since 2013 because Family Promise’s work in the community is absolutely vital,” said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. “Family Promise does an outstanding job supporting those in need in our community. It is important that we raise awareness about the important services they provide in Hunterdon County.”
The Box City event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18th at the Hunterdon Central High School practice field in Flemington. Every year, Family Promise invites participants to spend the night sleeping outside in a cardboard box that they supply themselves to raise funds to support homeless families and increase awareness about homelessness in our own community. Family Promise of Hunterdon County provides services to both help overcome and prevent homelessness through the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) – a network of congregations and volunteers who provide overnight/weekend shelter, home-cooked meals, and companionship to families who enter the program. Comprehensive case management, licensed counseling services and a donation program are also available.
