Calling All Opera Lovers to the NJ Association of Verismo Opera’s Open House

If you are an opera lover or wondered what opera is about, Artistic Director and Met Opera luminary Lucine Amara invites you to attend the NJ Association of Verismo Opera’s open house on Saturday, January 5 from 2-4 p.m. at 44 Armory Street in Englewood.  Learn about this Fort Lee-based artistic gem’s rich history, mission and upcoming concerts.

Ms. Amara, Music Director/Principal Conductor Anthony Morss, Chorus Director Mara Waldman, General Manager/Stage Director Evelyn La Quaif, and President James Garvin, MD will introduce the company’s 23rd season -- Love, Comedy, Obsession & Murder and the new productions of I Pagliacci and Gianni Schicchi that will be performed at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood on April 21. 

Opportunities to audition for the Verismo Opera Chorus, assume supernumerary (extra) roles and volunteer with North Jersey’s only professional, grand opera company will be presented.  A 30-minute video will be shown with highlights of the company’s numerous productions.
