MSG Varsity's Talent Show Now Casting for Season 3

MSG Varsity’s Talent Show—the tri-state area’s only TV competition that gives standout student performers their chance to shine— is back for its third season, and casting is now open for talented high school singers from across the region.

The popular weekly series, hosted by former “American Idol” semifinalist Jared Cotter, will return with an all-new cast of competitors this spring, where one winner will be awarded a professional studio experience and be crowned MSG Varsity’s Talent Show champion.   Last year’s show featured a number of talented vocal performers including Baldwin, NY’s Melanie Martinez, who is currently a contestant on NBC’s hit show “The Voice.”

Ultimately, sixteen vocalists will be chosen to perform this season in “MSG Varsity’s Talent Show,” premiering Sunday, April 21 at 8:00 pm on MSG Varsity, Optimum TV channel 14.   Open to all high school students throughout the tri-state region who either live in or attend school within the Cablevision service area, Talent Show hopefuls can audition either by going online to www.msgvarsity.com/talentshow and uploading a video of themselves performing or by attending one of four regional audition sites. The in-person regional auditions will be held at four high schools in the tri-state area, each one taking place from 3:00 to 8:00 pm.
